Everything you need to install and run QBIT for ATAS and V-Bridge: requirements, install steps, licence activation, answers to common questions and the version history.
Install QBIT for ATAS
QBIT for ATAS ships as a Windows installer. It places the indicator package into your ATAS installation, so there is no manual file copying. ATAS itself is not included; you install and license it yourself.
- Close ATAS if it is running. [TBD: confirm whether ATAS must be closed during install]
- Run the QBIT for ATAS installer (.exe) you received after purchase. [TBD: installer file name and where the download link is delivered]
- The installer finds your ATAS installation and places the indicator package into it. [TBD: whether a custom ATAS path can be chosen]
- Open ATAS and open a chart.
- Open the indicator list. The QBIT indicators appear there. [TBD: indicator list, and the group or prefix they appear under]
- Add an indicator to the chart and activate your licence (see Licence activation below).

V-Bridge
V-Bridge mirrors the direction of the position on an ATAS chart to one or more MetaTrader 5 accounts. It opens the CFD with a stop attached, every time, sizes it by the mode you pick on each chart, and closes the CFD when your ATAS position goes flat. ATAS is the master. Adds and partial closes are not copied. V-Bridge is free software under the GNU GPL v3.
Install V-Bridge
- Have ATAS installed, and MetaTrader 5 running and logged in to your account with the Algo Trading toolbar button on (green).
- Run VBridge-Setup.exe from the latest release. Windows SmartScreen may warn because the installer is not code-signed: choose More info, then Run anyway. No administrator rights are needed.
- A V-Bridge icon appears in the system tray. Open Accounts and tick your MT5 account. New accounts stay off until you tick them.
- In ATAS, add the V-Bridge indicator to the chart you trade from. In its settings choose your prop firm and the mode, then the risk percent per trade (or lots for Follow ATAS). Leave Token blank; pairing is automatic on this PC.
- The status box on the chart turns green and shows the broker symbol it resolved, your risk and the lot size. Trade with Chart Trader as usual.
Status box colours
| Colour | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Green | Connected, last action ok. |
| Amber | Something to look at: the symbol was found automatically (confirm it once in the tray), the position is already mirrored, or lots were capped at the broker maximum. |
| Red | Service down, account not attached (Algo Trading off?), or the last action failed. The reason is in the box. |
| Grey | Indicator disabled: new opens are blocked, closes are still mirrored. |
Execution modes
Pick the mode per chart in the V-Bridge indicator settings, group “2. Risk”.
- Fixed risk (default). The bridge sizes the CFD from your risk percent and uses its own stop and target distances in points.
- Follow ATAS. Set your stop and target in ATAS Chart Trader before you click. MT5 opens the lots you set, with the same stop and target distances from your fill, and follows when you move either (breakeven, trail, drag). If ATAS has no stop within 1.5 s of the fill, nothing is opened. Removing the ATAS stop keeps the last MT5 stop. A lot size that would risk more than 5% of the account at your stop is refused.
- Percent Follow. Like Follow ATAS, but you set a risk percent instead of lots. The bridge sizes the trade from your ATAS stop distance: lots = balance × risk % ÷ (stop distance × value of one lot per point), rounded down to the broker’s lot step. The size is set once at entry; later stop moves are followed but do not resize the trade. The ATAS stop must be on the losing side of your entry, otherwise nothing is opened. Spread and slippage can make the real loss slightly larger than the risk percent, as with any EA.
Safety rules built in
- Never opens a CFD without a stop. Never rounds the lot size up. Below the broker minimum means no trade.
- Risk above 5% per trade is refused. A stop wider than 5% of price is refused. A chart whose price is more than 3% away from the broker’s quote is blocked (wrong symbol).
- MT5 is the source of truth: the bridge only ever closes positions it opened.
- If the bridge was down when you clicked, the trade is not opened late at a worse price; the box turns red so you know.
Switching MT5 accounts
Log the terminal into another account, then open the tray menu and choose Refresh accounts now (or wait up to 30 s). New accounts appear under Accounts unticked; tick one to trade on it. If an account shows “the broker does not allow automated trading on this account”, the prop firm has disabled Expert Advisors for it and the bridge cannot trade there.
Uninstall
Windows Settings, Apps, V-Bridge. This removes the service, the startup entry and the indicator DLL.
